This chapter presents some sample applications spotlighted from existing Innovative GIS clients. The examples presented are not comprehensive, but are simply intended to illustrate how GIS can be applied to typical natural resource and local government needs. Most of the application spotlights reflect very specific needs and data requirements, however they illustrate how GIS can be applied to address an array of different priority business needs.
